RAIDING TIMES

Our standard raiding times are going to be 20:00 to midnight, Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday are usually days off, for everyone to do other stuff in and out of the game. Every member is expected to have attendance above 75%, which means being here for at least three raids a week. Your trial period, among other things, is there to prove you can meet those requirements. If you can't do that, you can probably close your browser window already. We will have to decline your application anyway. Having outside activity on a single day - for example playing football every sunday evening - won't be a reason to decline you but we would like to know about it in advance.

Do you have any other stuff to do every week on any of our raiding days?
I dont have any obligations besides work so no, wont be a problem.

Can you give up on it for a week or two if we are in the middle of important progress?
Most likely wont be having anything to give up on but yes i can give up on barnights or whatnot if need be.

Are you willing to stay for another 30 minutes to an hour past the midnight if we're just about to down a new boss?
Definently

Are you in control of your own time - meaning your parents won't pull your plug off if they think you play for too long or make you eat dinner 30 minutes in the raid?
Yes i am

Can you plan your evenings in advance; informing us at least day ahead that you are going out to a pub or going to the movies with mates?

With the current one 51 days since it's only been my main for about a month or so but with my mage that i've been playing since vanilla it has 221 days played.

We are only interested in progressing in the raids at appropriate level cap - going back to Molten Core or Sunwell at 80 doesn't count. Longer answers are very welcome.

How far did you progress in the original WOW before patch 2.0 (from Zul'gurub and Molten Core to AQ40 and original Naxx)?
Everything up to c'thun in AQ 40 and 8 bosses in naxx

How far did you progress in The Burning Crusade before patch 3.0 (from Karazhan to Sunwell)?
Everything up to M'uru in sunwell

Did you kill Magtheridon before starting Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep?
Yes i did

Did you kill Lady Vashj and Kael'thas Sunstrider before starting Mount Hyjal and Black Temple?
Yes i did because the attunements we're still needed at that time.

Did you manage to kill the Lich King on Heroic mode and if so at what % buff?
No i didn't. I stopped raiding when ulduar was still "the thing" and played really casually the rest of the expansion due to real life obligations.

How far did you progress in current expansion on 25-mans?
Haven't done any 25 mans this expansion since the guild i'm in was a strict 10 man guild

Have you completed any hard modes (10-man/25-man) and/or obtained any of the "Glory of the..." drakes?
Few of the easiest hardmodes in ulduar and 2/13 this expansion.

Why did you decide to leave it?
The interest of many of the original line-up has dried out to a point where the leadership is considering merging with another guild and i'm not into that.

TECHNICAL INFO

How stable is your connection? Do you disconnect every 5 minutes, is your latency above 1000ms all the time? We will be able to find it out the very first raid you join so please don't lie about it.
Aside from rare random disconnects it's stable with good latency.

Are you able to receive and make yourself understandable in english?
Yes

For voice communication we will use Ventrillo.Can you install, configure and use it?
Yes

Do you have a microphone? Are you able and willing to use it during raids for better communication during these?
Yes and i am willing to speak to it too :D

What do you use to move your character around - walking, running, turning? What keys are those moves bound to?
W,S,A,D. A and D being strafe and turning with a mouse

What keys are your main skills bound to (name 5)?
Using a mage as an example
Fireball - 1
Scorch - 2
Living Bomb - 3
Pyroblast - 4
Flame orb - 5

the rest of the spells are around W,A,S,D depending on how often it is used and how important it is get of as fast as possible, for example emergency spells i place into mouse buttons for quick access and for little to no chance for missclick


REQUIREMENTS

We require all our members to bring enough potions, elixirs, flasks, food buffs, bandages and repair gold for each raid. Sometimes you have to provide it for five days in a row. Are you able to grind it all with a smile on your face?
Dont know about happy face but i never come unprepared to raids :D

Which potion, elixirs or flask and buffing food do you use most often? And why?
Potion: Volcanic potion for "pre-potting" and usually during Bloodlust too unless i needed Healing potion or know i will be needing one.
Flask/elixir: Flask of the draconic mind as it beats everything else when it comes to flasks/elixirs
Food Buff: Severed Sagefish Head for the same reason as the flask

The addons required for smooth progression are Omen and Deadly Boss Mods (for timers and range check). Can you use those addons effectively and make sure you always have working version before the raid?
I've been using BigWigs instead of DBM but i've got no problem to change it if need be, and yes i can use them effectively.


ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS

Progressing on a new boss sometimes means wiping to him for 4 hours in a row, with improvements happening pretty slowly over time. Are you prepared for it? Why?
That's why i raid for. Banging your head into a wall for days and finally getting it is the best thing this game has to offer.

Can you take the critic and learn from it?
Yes, and i really like it when someone can point out my mistakes that i dont necessarily realise myself.

If you are the one messing up, can you admit the mistake and take the blame?
Yes, everyone makes mistakes and admitting it straight away is a good thing for the whole raid.

If we decide to swap you out; due to poor performance or connection issues, can you accept it without causing any fuss?
Yes, because it's the right thing to do. If someone is dragging the raid something needs to be done, it's that simple.

Do you understand that our guild got more than 25 people on the roster and you won't be taken to every single raid you sign up for?
Yes

FINAL NOTES

Why do you want to join this project?
I'm looking for a good chance to reroll to a horde side with a class that i actually like to play with. The Mage and the Shaman later on i just played because of the guilds needs and wasn't happy with them to start with. Secondly joining into a already established community that has been running for a long time is often very hard to get into and is easy to feel outsider in those, so a well thought out and managed reroll project that has same goals and desires as i have is what i'm looking for and Animus seems to offer them all.

Why should we recruit you?
I'm a team player with a huge passion for raid progression, i've got a good attitude towards raiding (so no bitching about loot or nerdraging after a couple of wipes) and i'm always looking ways to improve myself as a player.
I also like the social aspect of MMO's so i wouldn't be the guy who just joins the raids and never says anything unless asked to :D
