RAIDING TIMES

Our standard raiding times are going to be 20:00 to midnight, Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday are usually days off, for everyone to do other stuff in and out of the game. Every member is expected to have attendance above 75%, which means being here for at least three raids a week. Your trial period, among other things, is there to prove you can meet those requirements. If you can't do that, you can probably close your browser window already. We will have to decline your application anyway. Having outside activity on a single day - for example playing football every sunday evening - won't be a reason to decline you but we would like to know about it in advance.

Do you have any other stuff to do every week on any of our raiding days?

On Sundays i usually visit my dad, some weeks i can get home before 20:00 some weeks i cant, however i can make an effort to leave early.

Can you give up on it for a week or two if we are in the middle of important progress?

Definatley.

Are you willing to stay for another 30 minutes to an hour past the midnight if we're just about to down a new boss?

Im wiling to stay another 3 hours if thats what it takes, aslong as we know the problem and we are working on perfecting it im down to stay all day =P.

Are you in control of your own time - meaning your parents won't pull your plug off if they think you play for too long or make you eat dinner 30 minutes in the raid?

I am.

Can you plan your evenings in advance; informing us at least day ahead that you are going out to a pub or going to the movies with mates?

I can yes i usually plan things out a week in advance

How many days a week will you be able to raid on average?

Monday-Thursday i can definatley make (unless a specific issue pops up that week etc) And Sundays i should be able to make 70% of the time

I have been playing since Vanilla

The current character i have now i have played since cata, however i have another paladin (same name different server) That i play through out wotlk combined their played times is over 150 days =S


RAIDING HISTORY

This list is filled in with the progression milestones from all expansions. If you started playing after certain point, feel free to delete all the questions that don't concern you. We are only interested in progressing in the raids at appropriate level cap - going back to Molten Core or Sunwell at 80 doesn't count. Longer answers are very welcome.

When did you start raiding?

In vanilla i did Molten core on my rogue.

How far did you progress in the original WOW before patch 2.0 (from Zul'gurub and Molten Core to AQ40 and original Naxx)?

The guild i was in only made it to BWL 1st boss (and cleared Zul'gurub / MC) i was only 13/14 at the time though and probably wasnt the best raider ever

How far did you progress in The Burning Crusade before patch 3.0 (from Karazhan to Sunwell)?

Burning crusades was really my pvp period, i rerolled to the horde as a hunter and grinded pvp everyday my max rating was around 1950. Raid wise i clread Kara but i doubt i did more than that, again i was focused on pvp

Did you kill Magtheridon before starting Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep?

Again i didnt focus on Pve in BC

Did you kill Lady Vashj and Kael'thas Sunstrider before starting Mount Hyjal and Black Temple?

in WOTLK my guild cleared naxx pretty early on and 3 drakes etc, we had pretty much cleared all content that was out and at the time i had just started college so i was going out ALOT, After a while i got bored of clearing the same bosses every week and i quit wow all together. When i came back i cleared ToC

Why did you decide to leave it?

we had an immature leader in our previous guild who stole the guild bank and kicked all the members


TECHNICAL INFO

How stable is your connection? Do you disconnect every 5 minutes, is your latency above 1000ms all the time? We will be able to find it out the very first raid you join so please don't lie about it.

Are you able to receive and make yourself understandable in english?

English is my only language

For voice communication we will use Ventrillo.Can you install, configure and use it?

I have it and know how to use it

(although ive heard mumble has ALOT better sound quality)

Do you have a microphone? Are you able and willing to use it during raids for better communication during these?

i have a studio microphone that i use when film making

What do you use to move your character around - walking, running, turning? What keys are those moves bound to?

WASD , (Feels the most comfortable) Turning i use my mouse etc

What keys are your main skills bound to (name 5)?

1 2 3 Mouse1/Shift1 Mouse2/shift2 Mouse3/shift3 i mainly use my mouse for proc abilities as it is alot easier for me being right handed.

For cooldowns etc i use ALT+1 2 3


REQUIREMENTS

We require all our members to bring enough potions, elixirs, flasks, food buffs, bandages and repair gold for each raid. Sometimes you have to provide it for five days in a row. Are you able to grind it all with a smile on your face?

I managed to do the /1000 flasks made achievement for my old guild alone, im definatley willing to farm for my guild

Which potion, elixirs or flask and buffing food do you use most often? And why?

It depends what im doing,

DPS: Str Flask + Str Food + GolemBlood Potions (pre-pot + battle pot) - Strength is the best stat for retadins.

Tanking: Stam Flask + Mastery Food + Armour pots / health pots - i use mastery as mastery is my main stat as a pala tank

Healing: Int Flask + Int food + Mana pots although spirit is great for healers starting with more int is more useful than having an abundance of spirit

The addons required for smooth progression are Omen and Deadly Boss Mods (for timers and range check). Can you use those addons effectively and make sure you always have working version before the raid?

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS

Progressing on a new boss sometimes means wiping to him for 4 hours in a row, with improvements happening pretty slowly over time. Are you prepared for it? Why?

I have no problem with wiping on bosses for hours aslong as i see improvement. I think that repetition is the father of learning so doing something over and over again will eventually get the boss down

Can you take the critic and learn from it?

Thats one problem im having at the moment, i dont have anyone to tell me what i can be doing better and how i could maybe improve. I strive on feedback and anything at all i can learn from ill rep it and get better.

If you are the one messing up, can you admit the mistake and take the blame?

If im the one messing up i better pull my finger out my ass. Yes i can admit it and learn from my mistakes

If we decide to swap you out; due to poor performance or connection issues, can you accept it without causing any fuss?

If im swapped out due to poor performance i would like a step by step explanation of everything i did wrong. im a very self critical person so whenever i know im doing something wrong i work on it relentlessly. However i would ask for that once the raid is finished etc, i hate drama however i want every experience to be something i can gain from

Do you understand that our guild got more than 25 people on the roster and you won't be taken to every single raid you sign up for?

Thats fine, Raiding 5 days a week in a row can be taxing im sure so taking a day off would allow me to gather flasks pots etc for the coming raids etc.

FINAL NOTES

Why do you want to join this project?

I really want to raid as a part of a 25 man team, the idea itself i believe is amazing. and i would love to be a part of a community that is dedicated to helping each other out rather than a guild who only logs in to raid and then loggs out. I want to be in a guild where i can realise my full potential and learn from better players

Why should we recruit you?

I am the zohan! i kid, I believe i am a great player and i dont think im yet the BEST i can be. I havent done any heroic raids in cata yet however i find normal raids really easy, ive just not had luck with other members who feel the same. I really want to be a part of a community of players that i can look up to and grow from being around, Ive done pretty much all the reading i can do in terms of gear optimisation etc, ive analysed all the tactics that i can via videos forums etc, i need somewhere to put this info to good use
